18 students of the 4th edition of the Online Master in Global Health (MGH) of the University of Milan graduated on 23th October 2024.

The students met in person for the first time to present their final project work. The research projects focused on current global health priorities, such as cervical cancer, the eradication of neglected tropical diseases, and how to strengthen health systems, presenting possible solutions and perspectives from the global north and the global south.

A panel composed by MGH instructors, MACH members, and former MGH students awarded a prize to the best three project works:
- Francesca Squillace – “Acceptability pilot study of urine-based cervical cancer screening method in a rural primary care center in eSwatini.”

2. Catarina Gomes Madeira – “Migrants’ adherence to preventive cervical cancer screening in primary health care in Lisbon.”

3. Giorgia Casti – “Female genital mutilation in children and adolescents: what we know and what we should know. A survey on Italian child health specialists and residents’ knowledge, education, and practice.”

The 2023-2024 MGH batch included recent graduates and professionals of seven nationalities, studying and working in six different countries.
