Emanuele Palomba graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan in 2018, where he subsequently specialised in Infectious and Tropical Diseases. He is medical director at the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Luigi Sacco Hospital in Milan, where he is a member of the group of consultants dedicated to the infectious management of critical patients and infectious complications of complex surgeries. His research interests lie in the study of infections in immunocompromised hosts and critical patients, with a particular focus on infectious complications of solid organ transplantation and the prevention and management of infections caused by multi-resistant germs and fungal pathogens.
