Sara Laura Ferrari is a Research Fellow with a strong passion for global and public health. After earning a degree in Law, she pursued her interest in international cooperation and human rights by obtaining a second-level Master’s degree in Global Health from the University of Milan. Through this program, she had the opportunity to complete an internship in Pakistan, collaborating with a local non-profit organisation, where she gained a better understanding of the social determinants of health and public health management in resource-limited settings. Building on this experience, she continued working with the organisation as a consultant, contributing to various projects aimed at identifying legal, gender, and stigma-related barriers to tuberculosis care and prevention. Currently, she applies her expertise at the Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences at the University of Milan, engaging in activities and research projects at the Infectious Diseases Unit of ASST Fatebenefratelli-Sacco.
