I am Chandralekha Nair from India. I am 22-year-old. I have a bachelor’s degree in genetics and a Master’s in biomedical genetics. Since I am from India, I am an avid follower of the principle of Karma and Dharama which teaches you that one reaps what they sow. Hence, I would love to give back to the society which provided me the sources to be who I am today. Thus, I believe that through this course I would be able to implement my beliefs. The complexities of diseases and its mechanisms intrigue me a lot and so, indulging myself into the current development in the field of medicine is my go-to interest. Apart from academia, I have a great interest in reading books and my go-to genres include crime thrillers, mythology and politics.

Reflecting on these past months, I see a landscape of objectives achieved, a burgeoning vision of global health engagement, and an unwavering flame of motivation burning brighter than ever.
Throughout the MGH course, I have had the privilege of delving deep into various facets of global health, gaining invaluable insights and skills along the way. One of my primary objectives was to broaden my understanding of the interconnectedness of health issues on a global scale. Through rigorous coursework and engaging discussions, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of the social, economic, and political determinants of health, as well as the importance of cultural competence in addressing health disparities. Furthermore, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with peers from diverse backgrounds, fostering a rich exchange of ideas and perspectives. This collaborative environment has enhanced my ability to work effectively in multicultural settings, a skill that is indispensable in the field of global health.
My future engagement in Global Health
I am deeply committed to leveraging my knowledge and skills to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of global health equity.
