Between the 14th and the 21st of December 2025, the University of Milan hosted a delegation from the Catholic University of Mozambique in the framework of the Erasmus+KA171-Global Health project.
The delegation included Elmano Gomonda, coordinator of the Medicine and Surgery programme and director of Beira General Hospital, Kajal Chhaganlal, professor of paediatrics and director of education at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Sonia Raquel, internist with a PhD in tropical diseases and global health, and coordinator of the Clinical and Laboratory Analysis programme, Carlos Francisco Azevedo, professor in the Nursing degree programme, and Jordao Antonio Cardoso, coordinator of the Hospital Administration and Management programme.
During the visit, the five-member delegation attended meetings to discuss expansion of the partnership, toured various departments at Fatebenefratelli and Niguarda hospitals, and engaged in valuable discussions with faculty and students on bioscience and infectious diseases.
